   Briefing Papers

Gender Unit

Ensures that indigenous women's perspectives are integrated in policy-advocacy work at all levels.  The thrust of the Gender Unit is building the capacity of Asian indigenous women to do advocacy work in various levels.  One of its components is networking which focuses on reviving, expanding and strengthening  the Asian Indigenous Women's Network (AIWN) through education and information work.  It publishes the AIWN Newsletter as a channel for Asian indigenous women's voices, stories and ideas.

To support its work, it also undertakes research on specific issues affecting indigenous women.

Library

Collects and makes accessible resource materials on indigenous peoples such as books, documents, monographs, audio-visuals, among others.
