Q: What is actually C-PRO system?
A: A C-PRO system is a total management tool designed specifically for the Internet Cafe shop, the computer rental shop, the video game shop and computer laboratory of the College/University to improve the operation control and provide management information. It is like the POS system used in the supermarkets with some additional features.

Q: How can C-PRO system help to improve operation control?
A: All information (the time used, the amount paid, and the number of computer used) will be saved in the non-volatile memory of the Master Unit and the E-tag. The management can easily check these records. Tampering is impossible.

Q: What is the advantage of C-PRO system compared to the traditional system?
A: In traditional system, all records are done manually. So, human errors and data tampering are highly possible. In C-PRO system, all records are recorded electronically, the time used and amount paid are processed by the microprocessor, this will minimize the human error and data tampering is no longer possible.

Q: Since our store requires the customer that the minimum rental time is 30 minutes, can this be reflected during the checkout calculation?
A: Yes, this time can be set at the "Minimum Time" function at the "Set Up menu".

A: Yes, the management of the store can set 2 different rates, this setting is password protected.

A: Yes, a dot-matrix printer can be attached to the Master unit and print whenever there is a check-in/checkout.

Q: How many records can be kept in the Master Unit?
A: The master unit only keeps the paid records. Approximately 1,100 records can be kept. These records can be cleared through the Master Unit and reuse again. The "Clear Master Data" function is password protected.

A: The E-tag keeps the check-in data, check-in time and time used. Approximately 130 records can be kept. These records can be clear through the Master Unit and reuse again. The "Clear E-tag data" function is password protected.

A: One unit only.

Q: How many Station Units shall we use in our store?
A: You need one Station Unit for each computer. For example, if you have 30 computers for rent, you need 30 Station Units. The maximum station number is 255.

Q: How many E-tag do we need?
A: You need at least one E-tag per Station Unit. But you can buy more than that number.

Q: What happened if there is a power failure and the customer wants to checkout?
A: The Master Unit is equipped with battery back up. The customer can still checkout during power failure time, the battery can last for about 24 hours.

Q: What happened if the Master Unit is out-of-service?
A: In case the Master Unit is out-of-service, you can still use the E-key to turn on the computer monitor and the time used will also be recorded in the E-tag. This E-key will be included in the package. It is FREE of charge.

Q: You mentioned the Station Unit would turn on/off the computer monitor but not the computer, why?
A: If the Station Unit turns off the computer and by-passing the normal "SHUT DOWN" procedure, the Windows system will possibly be damaged. That is why we choose to just turn off the monitor. However, if you prefer to directly turn on/off the computer, we can do that without additional charge.

Q: Will this shorten the life span of the device by frequently turn on/off?
A: No, since we use the solid state relay with zero crossing detector, it will avoid electric surge by turn on/off the device at zero crossing of the AC current.
