Professional ScanningAt PrePRESS Solutions we pride ourselves in being the first, and currently the only company to provide professional scanning and color separation services in the region. You can have pictures scanned for a variety of reasons: for printing to your laser or inkjet printer, for screen presentations, or for posting into web pages. For purposes of printing to color laser or inkjet printers, optimal color cannot be guaranteed in these cases because of certain color management issues regarding monitor and printer calibrations. Film and Inkjet OutputPrePRESS Solutions' film output capabilities can provide designers with the high-quality material required for today's competitive printing market. File enhancements, trapping, and troubleshooting are all offered at competitive rates to help your project print correctly and efficiently. We believe that the easiest stage of development at which to catch potential problems is during the creation and planning of the document itself. We can provide film output up to 2400 dots-per-inch, 150 lines-per-inch.
Color SeparationWe accept straight color separation of submitted photographs,
artwork, printed images, ganged-up pictures, slides (positive
or negative), or transparencies. Depending on volume and quantity
of submitted originals, standard turn-around time is two days.
Rush jobs can be accepted at special rates. Color separation
charges include color correction, minimal image retouching and
four loose film separations. When a file is ready to be brought to and printed in the printing
press, separations are created based on the number of inks that
will be printed. When a document is printed using process colors
(also known as four-color printing), any elements in the document
that are not already defined as CMYK colors must be converted
into CMYK. This includes colors originally defined using the
HSL, HSB, or RGB color models, colors selected from a spot-color
matching library and colors scanned and saved in an RGB format
such as TIFF. This conversion can be done either before of during
printing. PrePRESS Solutions typically produces these separations
and prints them onto film using the imagesetter.
