Tubay is 39.1 kms. away from Butuan City. It has significant deposit of
gold and copper. It has flat and rolling hills and comprises 11,218 hectares of land. Its easern mountain is part of the
Diwata Mountain , Mt. Mabaho is also nearby.
Tubay is into fish production. Its brackfish water fishponds has a total area
of 56 hectares. It produces species of sardines, goatfish,
round scad, goby fry and mullet.
It is also known for its scenic beaches and mountain resorts.
It comprises the fourth component of the special economiczone of Caraga
Region - the Tubay Agri-Processing Center(TAPCEN),projected to develop the
potential of Tubay and its surrounding environs.
