Agusan del Norte envisions to become peaceful, progressive and
prosperous agri-industrial province which will serve as the center of
commerce and trade and a leading destination for leisure and adventure
tourism in the Caraga Region.
By virtue of RA 7916 otherwise known as the Special Economic Zone Act of
1995, Agusan del Norte has been identified as a Special Economic Zone.
As such, the Provincial Government proposes for the establishment of the
Agusan del Norte Special Economic Zone (ANZES).
The program will facilitate an integrated approach to development.
It will synchronize the implementation of existing development plans and
rationalize investment and area promotion activities particularly in
the province and in the Caraga Administrative Region. It will strengthen
and will have a positive linkage with the thrusts of Mindanao
as a member of the BIMP-EAGA and the Pacific Rim.
