Our Mandate
The Philippine Overseas Construction Board (POCB) was created by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1167, as amended by P.D. 1657, in order to develop and regulate the overseas construction industry of the country. It is the duty of the POCB to formulate strategies and programs for developing the Philippine overseas construction industry, to regulate and control the participation of construction in overseas construction projects, and to administer the grant of incentives, if any.
Our Sevices
- Registration, based on established criteria, of Philippine construction companies for overseas work in order to ensure that only those with requisite capabilities may participate in overseas projects
- Provision of market research and identification of opportunities for contractors
- Provision of marketing assistance for Philippine construction services and promotion Philippine participation in cooperative ventures for construction projects abroad
- Administration of incentives to Filipino overseas companies provided for under existing laws and regulations
- Monitoring of Philippine; contractors' performance on oversea projects to determine potentially critical areas of operation and work out early solutions
- Formulating policy directions toward optimizing benefits from overseas contracting and promoting efficiency in overseas operations
