What
is the BT/internet credit limit? What are the policies behind the implementation
of the CL?
- Set Credit Limit for BT will still apply.
- Internet usage Credit Limit of P1,000 will be inclusive to the approved
existing CL per subscribers.
- Exceeding CL policies will still be applied:
- If internet usage exceeds Internet credit limit, internet access
will automatically be disconnected. However, if total BayanTel
CL is not yet exceeded, the subscriber can still use his LEC/Long
Distance services.
- If LEC/LDS usage exceeds Total CL even if internet CL has not
reached its maximum credit limit, Long distance services will
be deactivated/tollbarred. But, subscriber can still access the
SKYInternet. If and only when the line is deactivated/disconnected
temporarily or permanently, the subscrber cannot access the SKYInternet.
What
will happen if the internet CL is exceeded?
When BayanTel subscribers usage is 80% of his existing CL, an
email will be sent to the subscriber informing him of the 80% usage.
And when his internet usage exceeds his internet credit limit, SKYInternet
deactivates access automatically. BT policies on exceeding CL will still
apply. However, if the BT line is deactivated whether or not the internet
CL is not yet exceeded, the subscriber cannot access the internet.
What
are the reactivation processes?
- Internet access will be reactivated automatically if payment of
usage is paid in full.
- Internet access will be reactivated manually by SKYInternet if payment
of usage is partial and usage is below CL. SKYInternet CS can view
the payments on the OSS to validate the payment and reactivates the
account/internet access.
Who
will bill? Will the LEC and SKYInternet be in one bill?
SKYInternet will bill the internet usage. No, the BayanTel/landline
charges and SKYInternet charges will not be billed in one Statement
of Account nor in one envelope. Each will follow its own billing cycle.
The Zero Plan subscriber will receive his SKYInternet billing a week
after cutoff of his SKYInternet billing cycle. Likewise, it will be
emailed or can be accessed through the SKYInternet website at www.skyinet.net.
The SKYInternet billings will follow the SKYInternet billing cycles:
- Cycle A for accounts created every 1st of the month to the
7th day of the next month. Due Date: + 16 days.
- Cycle B for accounts created every 8th of the month to the
15th day of the next month. Due Date: + 16 days
- Cycle C for accounts created every 16th of the month to the
22nd day of the next month. Due date: + 16 days
- Cycle D for accounts created every 23rd of the month to the
28th day of the next month. Due date: +16 days
- All accounts created on the 29th to the 31st are included in Cycle
A.
Where
are the payment centers?
All Bayan Centers, SKYCable office in Benpres, all RCPI offices, SKYInternet
Office in Victoria, all authorized payment centers/banks of SKYInternet

What
will I do if I will see a dialogue box stating "No Dial Tone"?
Check if your phone line is connected to your computer, your handset
is off the hook, or if your modem is connected to the correct port on
the modem. Or please have your modem check if defective.

will I do if I will see a a dialogue box stating "Dial-up Networking
Error"?
Check if all the network components are installed. You can also try
removing and adding them again. You may have to set up Dial up Networking
configuration again. Please refer to the Step by Step configuration
on the second section of this FAQs on how to do this.
What
does "Requested URL could not be retrieved (or website not found)"
mean?
Either the URL is invalid or the remote web site is down. It may also
be that you have not yet dialed up on to the server.
What
does "Operation time out" mean and what will I do after reading
it?
It means, while within your browser, the remote web site is too
busy to accept any more requests or the path to/ the web site itself
is down. So try to connect again later.
What
will I do if "The Connect To Window" doesnt appear anymore?
This happens usually after an improper Windows shutdown. You
can still connect by going to My computer, Dial-up Networking, and double-clicking
the SkyInternet icon. After getting a connection, launch your browser
software and do #8 of the step by step connection to create the SkyInternet
shortcut icon.
What
will I do if I get disconnected during a session?
If you have call-waiting feature on your phone, check if you
have properly disabled the call-waiting feature. The call waiting feature
should be deactivated before a session. Also, somebody may have picked
up the handset or an extension phone.
What
will I do if I will see a a dialogue box stating "The computer
youre dialing into is not answering"?
Double-check that the number that your modem is dialing is 1238.
