E-MAIL CONFIGURATIONS


PEGASUS MAIL

Installation

  1. Go to START | Run. Click on Browse and select the downloaded file (W32-242.EXE) by either double-clicking on it or by highlighting the filename then click Open. Click on OK in the Run window.
  2. The Winzip Self-extractor (W32-242.EXE) window will open. Setthe directory where you would unzip the file to c:\pegasus (in your case, it's the same directory where you saved w32-242.exe). Click Setup then continue installation to proceed installing the program.
  3. On Netware Window click No Netware Support and select the directory c:\pmail then click OK,accept this directory. Click Use the US English dictionary by default. On Install window select Create a Program Manager Group for Pegasus Mail then click Install Pegasus Mail. Click on Exit to complete the setup.
  4. You are now ready to configure Pegasus Mail.


Configuration

  1. After installing Pegasus Mail, run the software for the first time to configure it. Click on the Pegasus Mail icon.
  2. Click on the second button to install Pegasus Mail for multiple users.
  3. Click on OK to accept the default mailbox directory (C:\PMAIL\MAIL)
  4. On the Administration window it would ask you for the list of Pegasus Mail users. Enter at least one user by clicking on ADD. For the User name, it it suggested to type either the e-mail account name. You can type any entry for Personal Name. Put a check on the Administrator Privileges box so that you'd be able to edit the list of users then click OK.
  5. Click on the Yes button when it asks you if you want to use the detected Winsock.dll in your system.
  6. On Windows 95 Notice window, click OK then click YES on Using WINSOCK.DLL window.
  7. Set your Built-in Internet Mailer : Set POP3 and SMTP to local POP3/SMTP servers
    POP3 Host :     pop.skyinet.net
    User Name :     e-mail account (without the @pop.skyinet.net)
    Password :     your password for that e-mail account
    SMTP :     mail.skyinet.net
    Password :     your_e-mail_account_password
  8. On the Connection select Connect using my phone line and select SKY Internet as your Dial-up Networking connection then click Ok.
